Margaret A. Wheatley, PhD, MSN, RN, CNS, alumna of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) Minority Fellowship Program (MFP) at the American Nurses Association (ANA), class of 2008, passed away March 24, 2013. She was 67. Wheatley, an assistant professor of nursing at Case Western Reserve University, Frances Payne Bolton (FPB) School of Nursing, was a mental health-psychiatric nurse for over thirty years, she dedicated her career as a nurse, educator, researcher and advocate to serving vulnerable populations, especially the elderly.
