Ethnic Minority Fellowship Program (EMFP) Assessment Report: 1974-2000
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's (SAMHSA) Minority Fellowship Program (MFP) at the American Nurses Association (ANA) is proud to announce the production of the Ethnic Minority Fellowship Program Assessment Report: 1974 – 2000 and Executive Summary. The Assessment Report, authored by Faye A. Gary, EdD, RN, FAAN, MFP Executive Program Consultant/Director and Medical Mutual of Ohio Professor of Nursing for the Care of Vulnerable and At-Risk Persons at Case Western Reserve University and Cornelia Porter, PhD, RN, FAAN, Associate Professor, School of Nursing, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI., is organized into eight sections and embraces the basic tenets that the Surgeon General espoused concerning substance abuse and mental health disorders, and it helps to magnify the importance of educating ethnic minority nurses for leadership roles in education, practice, public policy, and research.
