MFP 2005 Intensive Winter Institute
Title: Advanced Quantitative Research Theory and Statistical Methods
Scope: This Quantitative Research Theory and Statistical Methods Institute will focus on essential theory and practice issues as related to concepts of advanced multivariate statistical analyses such as multivariate repeated measures analysis of variance, logistic regression, survival analysis, and analysis of frequency.
Objectives: At the end of this session the Fellows will be able to:
- Apply advanced multivariate procedures for statistical analysis, design, and modeling to selected research questions;
- Develop an appropriate statistical design and analysis plan for selected questions;
- Critique data analysis in current nursing research articles;
- Present specific theoretical and practice goals that will be accomplished by July 2006 that addresses one or two of the stated objectives for the 2005 Winter Institute.
Timeline:
Friday: Group Dinner and Orientation to the Intensive Winter Institute
Saturday: Intensive Winter Institute session from 7:00am – 7:00pm
Sunday: Intensive Winter Institute session from 7:00am – 2:00pm
Van Departs for Hopkins International Airport at 2:00pm
