Hartnell College in Salinas, CA, is seeking exceptional classroom and clinical instructors (4) with the promise of excellence in teaching based on strong academic preparation. The potential to teach and provide leadership in Gerontology, Medical/Surgical, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Mental Health nursing is preferred. Nursing faculty is to provide instruction for students participating in the Nursing and Health Services Education programs. Nursing faculty direct student discussions, select clinical learning experiences appropriate for meeting course objectives, facilitate critical thinking and evaluate student performance in the classroom and clinical settings. The focus for student instruction may include: application of relevant theoretical frameworks, development and refinement of psychomotor skills, integration of pathophysiology and disease processes, and the nursing care of hospitalized and community-based clients across the lifespan with simple to complex alterations in health. Salary augmented by area health system exceeds $23,000 in addition to annual compensation.
