Women Across the Life Span: A National Conference on Women, Addiction and Recovery (4/21/04)
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT), will host a 2-day conference to address current issues in providing gender-specific treatment to women throughout their lives on July 12-13, 2004 in Baltimore, Maryland.
Topic areas for the plenary sessions and workshops include: Co-occurring Mental Health Disorders; Treatment Capacity Prevention and Early Intervention; Addressing Needs of Children and Families; Homelessness; Infectious Diseases; Criminal Justice; and Trauma and Violence. Speakers include nationally recognized experts on women's substance abuse treatment, as well as front-line practitioners testing innovative and promising practices.
