Program Targets Minorities for Doctoral Degrees
Universities across the nation are beginning to see more minority students who are pursuing doctoral degrees in cancer prevention and control thanks in part to a program overseen at UCSF. Called the Minority Training Program in Cancer Control Research (MTPCCR), the National Cancer Institute-funded program is designed to encourage underrepresented master's level students to pursue a doctorate and career in cancer control research.
