Report on NBNA's 32nd Annual Institute and Conference (8/25/04)


The National Black Nurses Association's (NBNA) 32nd Annual Institute and Conference was held August 4 - 8, 2004 at the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero, San Francisco, CA. The theme of the conference was "Research Based Evidence for Successful Aging." Dr. Faye Gary, MFP Executive Program Consultant and Medical Mutual of Ohio Professor in Nursing for the Care of Vulnerable and At-Risk Persons at Case Western Reserve University in Ohio received the "2004 Nurse Researcher of the Year Award" and MFP alumnus Dr. Patricia McDonald received the "2004 Nurse Educator of the Year Award" during the President's Reception and Gala on August 7, 2004.
