AMA Minority Scholars Award -- Nominations Due April 30 (4/02/04)


The AMA Minority Affairs Consortium announces the establishment of the AMA Foundation Minority Scholars Award which will award ten $10,000 scholarships in 2004 to individual medical students from population groups defined as "historically underrepresented" in the medical profession, i.e., African Americans/Black; Native Americans (including American Indians, Native Hawaiians and Alaska Natives); Mexican Americans; and Mainland Puerto Ricans.
