We have long known that racial and ethnic disparities in healthcare cost lives, appropriate healthcare, and often, dignity. But the question many legislators often want to know is: what do they really cost? What is the number?! Well, the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies just released the numbers a few days ago – and they’re anything but small.
