The Laboratory of Pathology at the National Cancer Institute invites applications for a staff scientist position in the recently established Cancer Molecular Pathology section headed by Dr. Frederic Barr. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary research group investigating the genetics, biology, and clinical impact of recurrent chromosomal alterations in cancer, with a major focus on the rhabdomyosarcoma family of myogenic soft tissue cancers. The successful candidate will help develop and pursue an active laboratory research program, help oversee the daily work of the section, and participate in the education of other section members. The candidate should have a doctoral degree with a strong background in molecular and cell biologic technologies.
