MFP Hosts a Micro-Mini Institute During NANAINA Summit XIII




The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) Minority Fellowship Program (MFP) at the American Nurses Association (ANA) hosted a Micro-Mini Institute on “Quantitative Research: Cluster Random Trials” during the National Alaska Native American Indian Nurses Association (NANAINA) Summit XIII, October 9 – 11, 2007 in Cleveland, OH. Other Summit highlights involving MFP included a panel presentation on “Conversations on Health Disparities over the Lifespan” featuring MFP Fellows and Alumni: Drs. Doris Hill and Ella Scott, Mary Black, Aimee Erb, Barbara Dahlen, Brandon Thomas, and Margaret Wheatley.

The welcome reception was sponsored and hosted by the MFP. The reception also featured presidents from other local organizations. ANA President, Ms. Becky Patton, MSN, RN, CNOR, delivered greetings during the Opening Ceremony of the Summit.
