Kim Jolly is a nurse practitioner for the North Broward Hospital District, William B. Dandy Middle School, providing full service health care to minority adolescents and adults. She is a full time doctoral student at the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing at Florida Atlantic University. Mrs. Jolly is especially dedicated to adolescents, intending to decrease risky behavior, particularly substance use and related sexual activity.
Mrs. Jolly has devoted her time to several outreach organizations with missions focusing on the complex issues of adolescent development and narrowing the health disparities gap for African American and African Caribbean people. Given her special interest in community health issues, she has been involved in South Florida health promotion activities, such as coordinating health fairs for churches and local community organizations and promoting Drug Free Youth in Town (D-FY- IT), a substance-use prevention activity initiated by the Commission on Substance Abuse – Florida, United Way of Broward County.
