Ezra C. Holston
2005 Update

Ezra C. Holston recently graduated from the New York University where he successfully defended his dissertation, May 2003, on “The Relationship between the Abnormal Electrophysiological Features and the Degeneration in Cognition, Behavior, Daily Functioning, and Global Presentation Manifested by People with Alzheimer’s Disease” (a secondary analysis). He is also worked on two extracurricular research projects: “An Examination of the Electrophysiological Basis of the Theory of Retrogenesis” (tentative title) with Dr. Leslie S. Prichep, Brain Research Laboratories, New York University Medical School and “Screening for Mental Health Problems in Women Mandated to Drug Treatment Court” with Dr. Madeline A. Naegle, Division of Nursing, New York University.

Currently, he is a Clinical Genetics Fellow and Clinical Research Scholar at the University of Iowa's Colleges of Nursing and Medicine. Mr. Holston is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, American Nurses Association, Massachusetts Nursing Association, and the Eastern Nursing Research Society. He has acquired research experience on the following studies: “Cardiovascular Responses of Black Female Caregivers,” “HPA Stress Axis and Depressive Symptoms in Women,” and “Predictive Model of Memory Performance in Community Residing Older Adults.” He received his MSN from Case Western Reserve University, his RN Diploma from New England Baptist Hospital School of Nursing, and BA from Cornell University.

Dr. Ezra C. Holston joined the faculty at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) as Assistant Professor.
