Notice: MFP-Youth Applications for the 2019-2020 cohort will open October 30, 2018.
The Minority Fellowship Program at the American Nurses Association has been awarded the "Now is the Time: Minority Fellowship Program- Youth (NITT-MFP-Y)" grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The NITT-MFP-Y is a component of the President's Plan, "Now is the Time," which was developed to increase access to mental health services for youth in America.
The primary goal of the NITT-MFP-Y is to reduce health disparities, and improve behavioral health care outcomes for racially and ethnically diverse populations by increasing the number of culturally competent master's level behavioral health professionals.
The fellowship focuses on the behavioral health care of children, adolescents, and youth transitioning into adulthood (aged 16-25). In 2018, thirty fellowships will be awarded.
